Commissioned by Deutsche Umwelthilfe (DUH) and the Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition (ASOC), I developed a series of illustrated and animated works centered on the emperor penguin — chosen as the symbol species for Antarctic protection in 2025 — and its four key life stages: Breeding, Nursing, Staying Warm, and Fledging.
Starting from a concept developed in a team, I worked through sketches, linework, color, and finally four short animations, crafting a visual language that conveys both the beauty and the urgency of protecting this species and its habitat.
The works were shown at the UN Ocean Conference (UNOC 2025) in Nice. One of my illustrations was used as the header image on the ASOC website.
